Employee Recognition

Nu-Roc Community Healthcare is proud to present the Employee of the Year award to the person exemplifying high standards of quality care to its residents. The award also depicts appreciation for extraordinary employment practices. The Employee of the Year receives a monetary award and is listed on the Employee of the Year plaque displayed in the facility. The 2008 winner was Scott Shaffer. Employee recognition for elderly care is one of the ways that Nu-Roc rewards its exceptional staff!

Marty Weber, a resident of Argonne, has been named Employee of the Year at Nu-Roc Community Healthcare. He has been working in the maintenance department since August, 2003. He is recognized by staff as a kind man who is willing to take care of any problems or concerns in a timely fashion. His positive attitude is an example to everyone. Two years ago, co-workers selected Marty as Employee of the Month.

Nu-Roc administrator Craig Newton says that he does the job right the first time. He is always to work on time and has only called in sick once since he was hired. He is helpful in sharing his knowledge of the facility with others and with the administration personally.

He and his wife have a three year old son, Corey. He also two daughters who live in Appleton. Marty enjoys hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling in his spare time.

The administration and staff want to extend their congratulations and are proud and lucky to have him working at Nu-Roc Community Healthcare.

Linda worked at Nu-Roc for over 6 years in the late 60’s but quit to raise a family. She also worked here in the 90’s for about 3 ½ years but quit to babysit her grandson. She returned to Nu-Roc May 2, 2007 and works in the PT Department as a Restorative C N A.

When asked what she likes most about working at Nu-Roc, Linda said “the residents, the staff and the type of work. I find it very rewarding.” Linda’s husband Mike also works at Nu-Roc. They have a son David who lives in Appleton and a daughter Leah who lives in Laona. They also have 3 grandchildren, William (aka Trip) 11, Joe 9, and Nadia 5. They have a dog named Duchess and a cat named Honey Bun.

When Linda is not working she loves to garden and she volunteers at the Christian Thrift Store in Wabeno. Linda would love to travel the U.S. more. She loves to dance but her bad knees and arthritic feet make it impossible, so she will just tap her toes instead! Linda also likes to snowshoe and spend time with her family.

Please congratulate Linda on being named the July employee of the month.
