Nu-Roc Community Healthcare is proud to present the Employee of the Year award to the person exemplifying high standards of quality care to its residents. The award also depicts appreciation for extraordinary employment practices. The Employee of the Year receives a monetary award and is listed on the Employee of the Year plaque displayed in the facility. The 2008 winner was Scott Shaffer. Employee recognition for elderly care is one of the ways that Nu-Roc rewards its exceptional staff!
Nu-Roc Community Healthcare is very happy to introduce Kate Moddie as our 2011 Employee of the Year. Kate joined the Nu-Roc Team on March 12, 2007 as an LPN. While working full time, she continued going to school, becoming an RN as of July 27, 2010. Kate works on our PM Shift most of the time, but she is always willing to accept new responsibilities such as Admissions, Doctor Days, and MDS.
When Kate was asked what she likes the most about working at Nu-Roc, she stated "The residents and my fabulous co-workers." It is apparent that the feeling is mutual since residents and staff are always happy to see Kate! She has a great attitude and smile that is contagious to all that are lucky enough to spend time with Kate.
Kate and her husband have been married for nine years. They reside in Goodman with their three fantastic children. When Kate is not working, she likes to spend time with family, read, and play on the computer. She also enjoys going on excursions with her friends. Taking the kids to Disneyland is on Kate's bucket list of things she would like to do in her lifetime. You may be surprised to know that Kate recently got her first tattoo and she loves it!
Please stop and visit the staff and residents of Nu-Roc Community Healthcare and congratulate Kate on this well deserved accomplishment. We are very proud of Kate and feel lucky to have her on our Team!
Cathy Tyson is Nu-Roc Community Healthcare's January 2012 Employee of the Month. Cathy came to Nu-Roc as a C N A October 6, 2010 and began working as a Medication Assistant shortly thereafter. When asked what she likes most about working at Nu-Roc, Cathy stated "I like the residents and all my co-workers."
Cathy loves flowers, gardening and also arts and crafts. She also enjoys NASCAR, playing horseshoes, hunting and fishing. She has a little dog named Toto and she also has a big fat cat named Brodee. When Cathy is not at work or attending class at Nicolet College, she tries to spend time with family.
Being able to attend the Daytona 500 and meet some of her favorite NASCAR drivers is on Cathy's bucket list. You may be surprised to know that in high school, Cathy was a contestant in the Miss Rhinelander pageant. She was on Channel 12 news, had her picture in the paper and ate lobster. However, she did forget her lines when on stage but had a great time!
Please congratulate Cathy on being the January 2012 Employee of the Month. We are very lucky to have her on our team.
